Beccles was once again glowing with festive cheer during its annual Christmas lights switch-on.
The cast of this year’s Sleeping Beauty Pantomime were on hand to ensure an enchanting evening was had by all on Friday, November 30.
Beccles mayor Elfrede Brambley-Crawshaw joined the pantomime dame to officially switch on the light.
She said: “It was an absolute privilege, a hilarious privilege.
“It was amazing. There was a brilliant atmosphere and it was packed as usual with Beccles looking wonderful and all the businesses open.
“There was perfect weather, it was dry and pretty warm for the last Friday in November - everything was in our favour.”
Mrs Brambley-Crawshaw said seeing the array of community stalls and the transformation of Beccles Bell Tower into Santa’s Grotto were among the evening’s many highlights.
She added: “It feels like the community pulling together, it’s very heartwarming.”
