The Beccles Community Gardeners took to the streets once again to bring colour into the town.

Take a look at their most recent efforts, re-purposing old sewage pipes at the Quay before Jula Janney, a Beccles Town councillor, repainted them.

Group leader, Beccles mayor Elfrede Brambley-Crawshaw, said: “They continued while I was away which is really great

“The bits of sewage pipes have been there since the 60s or 70s and there was a plan to remove them but now they look quite nice!”

She added: “The Quay is a major tourism attraction and Beccles Town Council is really hoping to improve the facilities.”
The planting took place on Saturday, May 26, with the painting taking place yesterday.
