This week on Community Corner we at Enjoy Beccles More are highlighting another of the town’s fantastic community groups.

Beccles Helping Hands is a social club which through social events and history and ghost walks raises money to be used to benefit the wider Beccles community.

To date, the group has raised more than £30,000 for various causes including benches, football fields, and Beccles Lido.

The group put on ghost walks around the town in September and October, with monthly history walks through the summer.

Marie Mann, vice chairman of the group, said: “We would be only to pleased to have people join us. We do quite a bit of social events as well and you can come along and have a good laugh!”

The next history walk is on July 7 at 7.30pm, starting from outside the Bear and Bells in Old Market, with tickets costing £5 and available from Saxons in Beccles.

The next meeting of the group is on Wednesday, July 4, at the Fox and Hound social club.

For more information, go to the Beccles Helping Hands website here.
