This week on Community Corner we are saluting the 2nd Beccles Scout troop!

The 2nd Beccles Scouts troop is a volunteer led charity providing fun and informative weekly sessions for their Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and the troop meet weekly at their hut, over the bridge near the train station.

A spokesman said: “Scouting gives the children more confidence, responsibility, a broader set of friends, a chance to pursue things they might not get to do otherwise, adventure and an extended family.

“They have fun earning their badges and participate in lots of fun activities such as archery, canoeing, cooking and much more.

She added: “If you are interested in volunteering or have a child who would like to join, please contact Keith on 07794626389.

“We are fundraising hard to pay for a much needed extension to the hut and activity day in London and will be in Tesco this Saturday doing a bag pack to raise money. Please join us and spare us some change.”

The Enjoy Beccles More team would love to hear about all of your groups, and spread the word further. If you would like to be a part of our Community Corner, please contact us on enjoybecclesmore@archant.co.uk or visit our Facebook page.
