Last week we asked people on the Enjoy Beccles More Facebook page where they felt was the best place to grab some grub in the town.

The response was overwhelming with many jumping at the chance to offer up their local knowledge.

One name which cropped up repeatedly was Graze Cafe Bar and Grill at the White Horse.

The restaurant, situated in New Market, opened in 2015 and has garnered a well-earned reputation as a local favourite. With its delicious food reflecting seasonal produce coupled with its garden and courtyard where patrons can soak up the sun - it really is the place to be.

Speaking of Graze, Frankie Baker said: “I love the big flavours in the food and the luxurious goblets of gin.”

Wine Vaults, in Blyburgate, also proved to be a popular choice.

Nestled in the heart of the town the restaurant, which covers three floors, boasts an extensive wine and cocktail list to accompany its great food.

Krissy Graham said: “The chicken liver pate is second to none and there is always a warm welcome and great food.

“What more could you ask for?”

If it is Spanish cuisine you are after then look no further than El Andaluz in the town centre. Emma Higgins described the tapas at the restaurant as “amazing” and added: “the service and food were great”.

However, there are few things more satisfying than a bit of classic British pub grub, which is why the Three Horseshoes proved to be such a popular recommendation.

Liz Sawyer said: “I love The Three Horseshoes - a good local pub with fabulous food.”

Heather Wheels added: “Food is so good, staff are fabulous and the landlady is so welcoming. Lovely atmosphere in there every time we have been.”

Honourable mentions should also be given to Oakfired at Royal Oak, Twyfords Cafe, The Waveney House Hotel, Posh Pigs Cafe, Station cafe and Upstairs at Baileys which were all highly recommended.
