Three new deacons have joined the team in Beccles.

Revd Ben Edwards, Revd Claire Kiddy and Revd Philip Cudmore were part of a group of 25 people who were ordained deacon by the Right Reverend Martin Seeley, Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocese, at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on June 30.

They will now serve their curacy in the Parish of Beccles at St Michael’s and St Luke’s churches, and gain a broader ministry experience in the surrounding villages too.

Revd Edwards, Revd Kiddy and Revd Cudmore will all serve their three year curacy under the supervision of Revd Rich Henderson, Rector of Beccles.

Revd Henderson said: “It is an absolute joy to welcome three new colleagues to our wonderful town, each curate brings a variety of gifts and experience to the role and we look forward to them serving in the churches and community.”
