Take a look at what’s on in and near Beccles this weekend!

On Thursday, September 13 the Public Hall will be showing Darkest Hour, a thrilling and inspiring true story at the precipice of the Second World War from 2pm, more information available on the Beccles Public Hall website.

A fundraising bake sale will take place outside the Kings Head between 10am and 1pm on Friday, September 14, to help raise money for new play equipment at Beccles Quay.

The Public Hall will host the Beccles Friends of Cancer Research UK’s country music evening with the Jeff Gallant band from 8pm till midnight, with all ticket sales going towards the charity.

Saturday is the night for music fans in Beccles, with a great variety of events on offer.

The Fox and Hounds Social Club will have live music with Sue Brooks from 8pm till 11pm, while Gary Paige returns to the Conservative Club from 7.30pm, described as the “long-awaited return of this popular vocalist, with music for dancing or just listening”.

Tigerlily’s Productions will present A Night At The Musicals, with a talented cast bringing you a glamourous night of top entertainment full of all those well loved West End classics. The show kicks off at 7.30pm.

Finally, on Sunday, September 16, the Public Hall is welcoming the Gardeners’ Forum with gardening experts will be answering your questions with a bring and buy plant sale, book sale, raffle and refreshments from 2pm. Tickets are between £7 and £8.
